Veganer Fisch: Bei Fischstäbchen schmeckt eh nur die knusprige Panade

Sometimes fish grows in the field. Then it is harvested, not caught. Its fillet consists of pea and bean shells, with fibrous texture provided by black salsify and cauliflower. Add some flaxseed oil and omega-3 fatty acids, and it’s ready. Cut into strips about ten centimeters long, breaded and fried in fat, it becomes fish sticks – just without real fish. Compared to the original from the sea, those from the field may taste slightly more mushy and sweeter. But thanks to the oily coating that envelops both equally, the difference is not too significant.
