The location of the first flagship store in Germany is Auguststraße in the heart of Berlin-Mitte. The Spaniards have opened a store of 88m² in an area known for its art galleries, shops, and restaurants. According to a company statement, the store stands out for its „combination of premium eyewear selection, Spanish flair, and Berlin aesthetics.“ It promises a unique experience for eyewear enthusiasts and style enthusiasts.

Store des Tages Herbst 2023: Miller & Marc in Berlin

Miller & Marc and their CEO Sergio Navarro have commissioned the Berlin-based office Coordination to design the store, which has previously worked with fashion brands such as Edited and About You. The key colors are terracotta and blue tones, reminiscent of the company’s Spanish heritage and aiming to create a Mediterranean atmosphere amidst Berlin’s brutalist architecture. Large windows are intended to attract the attention of passersby and showcase the brand identity. A connection to the German capital is established through artwork by Berlin artist and influencer Isis Maria Niedecken. Cream-colored, floor-length fabric curtains create a cozy atmosphere and help structure the space. A table and chairs outside the store invite people to pause and relax.

Miller & Marc is certified as a B-Corp and considers itself a „modern alternative to traditional opticians“, similar to the already established concepts Viu and Ace & Tate in Germany. The range includes corrective and sunglasses made from recycled high-quality acetate from Italy. The design of the frames is created at Miller & Marc’s headquarters in Madrid, while the lenses are supplied by a Spanish manufacturer. According to the company’s website, single-vision glasses cost between 124 and 144 euros, while sunglasses start at 104 euros.

The company justifies its relatively low prices by eliminating intermediaries. „I founded Miller & Marc after recognizing a real problem among eyeglass wearers. They were paying a very high price for a product that often didn’t last longer than two years. The issue: Too many intermediaries in the value chain,“ says CEO Sergio Navarro.

There are already 11 Miller & Marc stores in Spain, in addition to the new German flagship.
