According to media reports, British comedian and actor Russell Brand is alleged to have sexually abused women over several years. According to an investigation published by several British media outlets on Saturday, four women accuse the 48-year-old of sexually abusing them between 2006 and 2013. The ex-husband of Katy Perry categorically denied the allegations.

One of the women stated in the research published in the „Sunday Times“ that Brand had raped her in his house in Los Angeles. Another said that she had been sexually assaulted by the celebrity during a three-month relationship when she was only 16 and still in school. In addition to the four women with abuse allegations, other women reportedly claimed that Brand had emotionally exploited and abused them.

The comedian and actor had already released a video on Friday in which he stated that he was facing „very serious criminal allegations.“ He strongly denied these accusations. He claimed that it was a „coordinated“ media attack against him. The investigation was conducted by the „Sunday Times“ in collaboration with the „Times“ and Channel 4 television network.
