The products were sold at Lidl, Kaufland, and Globus: The Danish company Agustson A/S from Vejle has recalled rainbow trout fillets due to contamination with bacteria. The supermarket chains are warning against consumption and are also recalling the products.

The affected products have been found to contain the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes. According to Lidl, this germ could potentially cause severe gastrointestinal issues. This could have serious consequences for infants, young children, pregnant women, as well as elderly and sick individuals.
Lidl had already published the recall on Thursday and issued a warning: „Due to this health risk, customers should definitely take note of the recall and avoid consuming the products.“ Globus advises: „Consumption is strongly discouraged!“
