DIE ZEIT: Mr. Möller, when was the last time you participated in a demonstration against something?

Robert Möller: Während meines Medizinstudiums habe ich gegen Versuche an lebenden Fröschen protestiert. Die waren damals im Kurs für Physiologie üblich, um zu zeigen, wie Nerven funktionieren. Und gegen den Nato-Doppelbeschluss habe ich demonstriert. Das ist aber beides lange her.

Next week, there will be a protest day against the decline of hospitals. Helios does not want to participate. Why not?

Möller: Many clinics are facing economic difficulties due to high expenses for materials, personnel, and energy. The protest is understandable. However, I do not believe that we should be at the forefront of it. It is no secret that we are financially better off than most.
