According to media reports, Hollywood star George Clooney is planning to sell his luxury villa on Lake Como. The property, located in the municipality of Laglio directly on the shores of the northern Italian lake, has been a frequent retreat for the 62-year-old actor for the past two decades. It is now reportedly up for sale.
The Italian magazine „Oggi“ reported this, citing a real estate agency specializing in high-end houses and properties in the region. On Friday, the newspaper „Corriere della Sera“ speculated about a revenue of up to one hundred million euros.

Clooney hatte die »Villa Oleandra« vor 20 Jahren gekauft – angeblich für acht Millionen Euro. Auch in den vergangenen Jahren hielt er sich mit seiner Ehefrau Amal und den beiden Kindern dort noch häufiger auf. Zu den Gästen gehörte neben Hollywood-Prominenz auch der ehemalige US-Präsident Barack Obama samt Familie.

According to media reports, the reason for the plans to move away is that the Clooneys now prefer to stay in the South of France, where they have owned a country house for some time.
There have been rumors in the past about the celebrity couple leaving Lake Como. However, real estate agent Yasemin Baysal told „Oggi“: „This time it’s true.“ There is already a very interested potential buyer as well.
