Der Ausbau kommt sogar noch schneller voran, als sich die Bundesregierung das gewünscht hat. Eine tagesaktuelle Datenauswertung von ZEIT ONLINE zeigt, dass das Ausbauziel für dieses Jahr schon Mitte September erreicht wurde, 109 Tage vor Jahresende.

From this, the progress of new installations can be calculated on a daily basis. The total capacity of solar systems installed in Germany is expected to increase by nine gigawatts this year. This figure is derived from the Renewable Energy Act and plans from the Ministry of Climate Protection. Nine gigawatts is equivalent to solar panels covering an area of approximately 6,300 football fields or roughly the size of Lake Ammersee.
