Ulf Johannemann war als Steuerberater und Anwalt ein Shootingstar in der Großkanzlei Freshfields. Doch dann wurden ihm die Cum-ex-Geschäfte einer Mandantin zum Verhängnis. Nun steht er deswegen vor Gericht.
EThis is the second trial regarding the Cum-ex transactions of the now insolvent Maple Bank at the Frankfurt Regional Court. However, the German prosecution is particularly interested in the criminal proceedings that began on Thursday before the 24th Economic Criminal Chamber. In addition to banker Hagen W., Ulf Johannemann, former partner at the major law firm Freshfields and former head of the global tax law practice, is also being held accountable for his involvement in the Cum-ex transactions.
